SOCIETY OF HISPANIC PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS (SHPE)
Co-President 2019-2020
Since 2018 I have served on the SHPE Exec Board and have served as secretary before becoming Co-President. During my presidency SHPE has raised over $30,000 in funding to send 24 students to the SHPE National Convention. With my co-president, I have presented to the Thayer faculty about the issues Latinx students face on campus. We have also started conversations administration about advising that is catered towards first-gen low income student and the representation of minority students on the institution's social media.
PHI TAU GENDER INCLUSIVE FRATERNITY
President - Spring 2020
Lead and navigated the transition of membership and activities to a virtual setting due to the CoVID-19 crisis. Managed remotely the maintenance of the physical plant and provided temporary housing to members affected by the crisis. Acted as the liaison between the undergraduate membership and the alumni board.
LATINX HERITAGE MONTH COMMITTEE
Board Member 2018
Planning Committee for Dartmouth College's Latinx Heritage Month. Contacted and finalized contracts with major people of interest. Created and defended over $28,000 worth of funding from the Office of the President and SPEC.
LA ALIANZA LATINA
Historian 2017-2018
Social organization in charge of providing programming for Latinx / Latino students at Dartmouth College. Duties include providing support and advising to students on campus, defending budget proposals for events, and organizing events with other student organizations
